Anna Song Founder Cortex CL

Cortex Consultancy Ltd was founded in 2017. The founder, Anna Song, is a qualified Pharmacist with an established and extensive Research and Clinical Pharmacy background, both in the Primary and Secondary NHS care setting, as well as academic institution setting. She has gathered experience in Research at various prestigious hospitals such as the large teaching hospital Southampton General Hospital; and in top-rated London specialist hospitals such as Great Ormond Street, Barts NHS Trust (The Royal London Hospital and Barts Hospital) and University College of London hospital. Her most recent expertise is at the top 10 world ranking university - UCL.

Anna has expanded her research expertise even further by being an active expert panel member of the Ethics Committee for the Health Research Authority (HRA), working in the capacity of reviewing phase I, Paediatric and Clinical trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs).

 

She has also been teaching on the Masters in Clinical Trials course at UCL and it is then when the desire to develop further research training focusing on Pharmacy and Skill development for Research conduct started.

Equipped with a postgraduate clinical diploma, GCP training and extensive research experience, she hopes to share her knowledge and enable others to find their passion in Research.

​

As a keen believer in Education and Training, completion of the Train the Trainer course and successful delivery of in-house training session pertaining to Pharmacy and Research skills has allowed her to build on her knowledge in developing and encouraging learning in an interactive and exciting way. She has also presented at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress about the roles and responsibilities of Pharmacy within Research.

The objective of Cortex Consultancy is to offer and assist individuals and organisations to focus and aim for clear and realistic goals in training by offering inventive and personalized training sessions to support anyone wanting to further their knowledge and career within research.
